Vernetta Evans

Vernetta M. Evans, age 94, died March 14, 2012 at Agrace HospiceCare, surrounded by family.
She was born February 7, 1918, in Potosi Township, Grant County, the daughter of the late Mildred and Edward Reuter. She was the second oldest of 4 siblings and is survived by her youngest brother, Fr. Arnold Reuter of La Crosse, and two sisters-in-law, Francis Reuter of Platteville, and Betty Reuter of CA.
On August 16, 1937, she married Orville Richard Evans at Holy Angels Catholic Church, Aurora, IL. Orville preceded her in death in December, 1995, in Deltona, FL. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Nettie Ann and Bruce Trenk of Pagosa Springs, CO; Patricia Jean and James Fisher of Shorewood, WI; and a son and daughter-in-law, Robert E. and Lorraine Evans of Valders, WI. She is survived by 9 grandchildren and spouses, Sheri and Marty Skolnick of Littleton, CO; Karen and Bryce Mowbray of Galveston, TX; Jennifer and Mark Salvino of Seattle, WA; Stacie and Mark Vandermyde of Minneapolis, MN; Dana and Rich Gajewski of Mindoro, WI; Erica and Andrew Schreurs of Ankeny, IA; Misty and Daniel Rodriguez of Appleton; Aaron Evans of Appleton; and Amber Evans of Valders, WI. She is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren.

A Family Memorial service, conducted by Fr. Arnold Reuter, will be held at 10:00 am on March 17, 2012 at SEBRING CHAPEL, 7710 S. Brookline Dr., Madison, WI. Burial took place at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery in Madison.
