Madison- Vicente Valle, age 81, born April 5, 1930 in Apulco, Jalisco, Mexico. Son of the late Cristobal Valle and Maria Herrera. Preceded in death by infant daughter Patricia. He was husband to Nancy Lee Valle for over 52 years. They were blessed with 7 children, Maria (Kurt) Welton, John (Soledad), Ann (Ron) Butts, Joseph, Susan (Patrick) Stewart, Thomas (Jeanne) and Caroline (Mike) Webber. Grandfather to 17 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter. He is also survived by 2 sisters and a brother. Vicente was religious man, a loving husband and a great father who always taught by example. He was an accomplished painter and sculptor and enjoyed soccer. He earned a degree in Chemical Engineering with a Ph.D in Education. In addition to his studies at the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara (UAG), Vicente studied at Berkley and Princeton and at the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee. He was Director of Planning and Development of the UAG and Executive Director of various international groups including the Chemical Society of Guadalajara and the Mexican-American Cultural Institute for the State of Jalisco, Promoter of International Relations between Mexico and the U.S.A. & Trade Consultant for over 30 years. He was Founder and President of Partners of the Americas, Jalisco, and President of the Hispanic Heritage Foundation. Registered in the National Distinguished Service Registry of 1990's WHO is WHO in the WORLD (1982/1983), and Men of Achievement in (1978). Vicente passed away on Pentecost Sunday, June 12, 2011 at Meriter Hospital in Madison.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at HOLY REDEEMER CATHOLIC CHURCH, 120 W. Johnson St., Madison on Wednesday, June 15, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. with Msgr. Kevin Holmes presiding. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of mass.
