Victor Edmund Dante Alighieri

Sun Prairie/Baraboo-Victor Alighieri, age 70, passed away on Thurs., Sept. 10, 2009 in Baraboo. Victor was born in Madison on March 3, 1939, the son of Frank and Jenny (Tortorice) Alighieri. Victor received his bachelors degree from the UW-Madison. He was employed as a loan officer. The past several years Victor had been residing in Baraboo and previous to that he lived in Madison, Sun Prairie and Oxford. Victor is survived by his children Lisa (Mike) Buschkopf of Harmony Grove and Victor (Wendy) Alighieri of Sun Prairie; grandchildren Briana, Jamesen, Kaitlin, Serra, Audrie, Mason, Ali and Jesse; sisters Josephine (Jim) Cassidy and Phyllis (George) Ingwell all of Madison; dear friend Rosemary Herndon of Baraboo; mother of his children, Ruth Alighieri; his nurse, Joy; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Burial will take place on Tues., Sept.15, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. in Sacred Hearts Cemetery with a 11:00 a.m. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial to follow at St. Albert The Great Catholic Church, 2425 St. Albert Dr., Sun Prairie, WI.
