Viola Nelson

Stoughton -   Viola Nelson went to be with the Lord on September 11,2022.  She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and aunt, and she was loved by her many friends.

All her life, Mom was an incredibly hard-worker and was always busy doing something. She loved good music and was a self-taught, accomplished pianist. She was an avid reader, a fantastic cook, and loved flowers. She was also good at crossword puzzles and putting jigsaw puzzles to together.

We thank Agrace Hospice for the wonderful, comforting and supportive care they provided Mom.

We thank the staff at Skaalen Magnolia Gardens for their loving care and attention to Mom’s needs during her stay there.

Last, but certainly not least, we thank the family, friends, and caregivers who were so helpful to Mom, and us, for many years. Their assistance helped Mom stay where she wanted to stay as long as possible, in her home. When Mom moved to Magnolia, they continued their visits and often brought her the flowers and goodies she loved.

Viola was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years and numerous siblings. She is survived by her 3 children, son-in-law, her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
