Virginia (Gini) was born at the old UW Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin, on February 20, 1930, to the late Martin C. Johnson and her mother, Maude (Reigle) Johnson. Her father, Martin, was from Sweden. When her mother married Ernest Morschhauser, she became the eldest of the Morschhauser children.
Gini married Donald Morrison and they had two sons, Donald and James, who preceded her in death.
Gini worked for many years as a personal shopper for the Manchesters Store. In 1976 Gini married the love of her life, Ivan Bruner, and she managed condos and apartments for him.
Gini is survived by her daughters-in-law, Barbara (Fritz) Gudgeon and Rose Morrison; her grandchildren, Chris (Melissa) Morrison, Sara (Allen) LaCrosse, and Deanna Morrison. She has five great-grandchildren.
She is further survived by three sisters and two brothers: Ernest (Colleen) Morschhauser, Richard (Karla) Morschhauser, Betty Treharne, Nancy Acker, and Shirley Maxwell. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Cleo Morschhauser. Her brother, Bob Morschhauser, and her sister, Jean Lehman preceded her in death.
Favorite Scripture: “But I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep that which I have committed unto Him against that day.”
