Virginia Gerber

Our loving mother, Virginia T. Gerber, 87, of Sun Prairie, passed away peacefully at Agrace Hospice surrounded by her daughters after a battle with cancer on July 16, 2012, to be with her Heavenly Father.
She was born on January 13, 1925 in Ashland, Wisconsin, to Newman and Melvena (England) Timblin. She married Walter Gerber in Madison on May 7, 1946.
She is survived by her three daughters, Ellen (James) McClure of Tyler, Texas, Donna Gerber of Orofino, Idaho, and Jane (Richard) Derus of Fort Atkinson. She was preceded in death by her son, Garry Gerber, and is also survived by eight grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
Virginia loved being around people at the Colonial View apartments where she lived in Sun Prairie through wii bowling, playing cards as visiting with people who also loved her. She found great pleasure in dancing, sewing for herself (as well as others) and quilting.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at the Cress Funeral Home in Stoughton, with the Rev. Paula Geister-Jones officiating. Following services, there will be a reception at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Agrace HospiceCare.
