Walter Samuel Zimmerman Sr.

Walter Samuel Zimmerman Sr. age 79, passed away on Fri. Feb. 26, 2010 at home after a long illness. He was born Oct. 12, 1930 to Samuel and Katherine (Disch) Zimmerman. Walter had served in the U.S. Army and was a long time Madison resident. He enjoyed his family, fishing, hunting and the great outdoors. Walter is survived by his wife, Marilyn; children, Ruth, Sherrie (Earnest) Seay, Walter, James (Jeanette), William, Richard (Cathy), Paul, Laura, Michelle (Richard) Lofy; 14 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren and a sister, Gladys Thiel. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Katrina; a grandaughter, Holly Lee; two brothers and three sisters. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial on Wed. march 3, 2010 at 11:00 a. m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1905 W. Beltline Hwy. Madison, with Monsignor Thomas Baxter presiding. There will be visitation for family and friends from 10:00 a. m. until the time of service at the church.
