Wayne Kempfer

August 20, 1944 — December 22, 2017

EDGERTON--Wayne K. Kempfer, age 73, passed away on Friday, December 22, 2017 at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison. He was born on August 20, 1944 in Madison to Alvin and Anna (Gerke) Kempfer. He married Pamela Carteron on December 13, 2001 in San Antonio, TX.
Wayne owned and operated Pilgrim Cleaners in Madison for over 24 years and sold to family in 2001. Although he sold, he never really left, and he continued to work there until present time.

Wayne loved the Milwaukee Brewers, watching old western movies, and going to San Antonio for the winter months. He loved spending time with his grandchildren playing Uno and Yahtzee.

We are all missing the kind and thoughtful things Wayne did for us every day.

Wayne is survived by his wife Pamela; daughter Lisa Kempfer; and his grandchildren. He is further survived by his sisters Anna Mae Cox (Ted) and Rose Marie Foley; sister-in-law Theresa Kempfer and several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends. Wayne was preceded in death by his son Charles Kempfer, parents Alvin and Anna Kempfer, sister Betty Wendt, brother Vernon Kempfer, nephews Edward Foley and Dan Wendt, brother-in-law Everett Hollis, and sisters-in-law Patricia Hollis and Kay Schultz.

Private Services will be held.
