Wayne Keith Zeman

Sun Prairie -- Wayne Keith Zeman, age 75, died on Sunday, August 30, 2009, at his home in Sun Prairie. He was born on November 14, 1933, in Madison, WI to Elmer and Dora (Brockman) Zeman. Wayne was united in marriage to Catherine Feldner on March 3, 1962 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Madison. He worked for the State of Wisconsin for 35 years retiring in 1989. Wayne was a charter member of the Sun Prairie Civic Theatre, a former member of the Sun Prairie Jaycees and the Knights of Columbus. He was also a member of the Colonial Club writers' group and he volunteered at the Sun Prairie Food Pantry.

Wayne is survived by his brother, Gene (Nancy) Zeman of Monona; a sister, Judy (Douglas) Omata, of Sun Prairie; nephews, Korey (Kristin) Erb, of Minneapolis, MN, Kris Erb of Oakland, CA and Brian (Cindy) Feldner of Steven Point, WI; nieces, Sue Moe of Phoenix, AZ, Laura Zeman of Phoenix, AZ, Jill (Dave) Korfmacher of Cottage Grove, WI, Joy (Chris) Haese, of Green Bay, WI, Melinda Omata of Sun Prairie, Claudia (Bill) Morrissey of Sun Prairie and Karen Feldner of Nekoosa, WI; and many friends.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Catherine and nephews, Jeffrey Zeman and Tom Feldner.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. ALBERT THE GREAT CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2420 St. Albert Dr., Sun Prairie on Thursday, September 3, 2009, at 5:00 p.m. with Monsignor Terrence Connors officiating. A visitation will be held at church on Thursday, September 3, 2009, from 3:00 p.m. until time of service. Burial will take place at Sacred Hearts Cemetery in Sun Prairie.
