Willard Holman

Madison - Willard Holman passed away peacefully on Friday, December 12, 2014. He was born on May 16, 1923 in Springfield, Illinois, the son of Willard and Mary Grace Holman.

Willard married Emma Jean Holman on November 19, 1994 in Madison, WI. Willard served as a Member of the U.S. Army, serving in Northern France, Normandy, Rhinelander and Central Europe. He was employed as a Postman for U.S. Postal Service for 50 years.

Willard is survived by his sister, Regina Oakley of Chicago, IL; daughter Dorothy (Jimmy) Ruff of Madison, WI, 3 sons, James (friend Patricia) Wells, Russell (Sue) Wells of Corona, CA, and Floyd (friend, Kenna) Wells, of Madison, WI. He also leaves behind grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews along with a host of other family and friends who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his wife, Emma Jean.

Services will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Cress Funeral Home located at 3610 Speedway Road; Madison, WI 53705. Visitation begins at 10:00 a.m. Burial with Military Honors will be conducted at the Forest Hill Cemetery.
