WAUNAKEE- William "Bill" Bohne, age 39, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, February 28, 2016. He was born on July 15, 1976 in Madison to Cyril "Buck" and Mary Anne (Welsh) Bohne. Bill received the Eagle Scout rank from Boy Scouts of America in 1993 and graduated from Waunakee High School in 1994. He went on to graduate from MATC in 1996 with a degree in Marketing. He married the love of his life, Jennifer Croop on May 13, 2000 where he also acquired two sons and a daughter. There are no words to describe the love, respect, and honor he gave to Jenna and his children. Bill was most recently employed at Laser Express as a Marketing Manager.
He began wrestling in third grade, and his high school career culminated with a trip to the state wrestling tournament in 1994. He went on to participate in the Badger State Games with the true intent being of having his own personal cheerleader, this being Jenna.
He and all of his friends participated in many annual events that included the Wisconsin River Canoe Trip, golf outings, and of course, his biggest love--hockey. The ongoing relationships made through those activities were absolutely priceless to him. He was passionate about hockey and worked at the ice pond in Waunakee just for fun and to stay connected with the hockey community. He drove the "Zambohne" and his favorite team was the New Berlin River Drivers, for whom his son, Jay, plays for. A close second, which cannot be decided, would either be the Minnesota Wild or the Chicago Blackhawks.
He will be remembered for his outgoing personality, laughter, love of life, and his commitment to others, especially his commitment to his wife and children.
Bill is survived by his loving cheerleader Jennifer, his hockey player Jay, his soldier Jared, and his baby girl whom he adored, Jocelynn; his parents and extended family; other relatives and numerous friends too many to afford to list in the newspaper.
Bill will join his best friend, Kirk, on their next big journey.
Family and friends may visit at First Presbyterian Church, 5763 County Rd Q, Waunakee on Monday, March 7th from 9:30 a.m. until the Celebration of Life Service at 11:30 a.m. with a reception following the service.
Jennifer and the family would like to thank the community for their continuous support, empathy, compassion, and love. The outpouring of support will be held close to their hearts forever and never forgotten.
