William Cress

Madison - Bill Cress of Madison died on Monday, September 18th at St. Mary's Hospital. He was born on October 6, 1932 in Janesville. After graduating from High School there, he graduated from UW Madison with a Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering. He worked in Minnesota, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. After retirement, returned to Madison. He was an avid golfer. He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Survivors include his wife, Barbara; sons, Tom and Dan; daughter, Carrie; 7 grandchildren; a sister; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 22, 2017 at GOOD SHEPHERD LUTHERAN CHURCH, 5701 Raymond Road, Madison, with a luncheon to follow the service at church. Burial will be held at Forest Hill Cemetery.
