Elm Grove-William F. Eagan, age 87, died on Tuesday, February 22, son of Clyde and Ruth (Huffington) Eagan. Beloved husband for 61 years to Shirley (nee Denning), Dad of Patrick D. (Lloyd Lewis) Eagan, Madison, Wisconsin Mitchell L. Eagan, Portland, Maine and Tracy W. (Lisa Thompson) Eagan, Stoughton, Wisconsin. Proud grandfather of 6 treasured grandchildren; Gavin & Brendan Eagan of Madison; Max & Evan Eagan of Martha's Vineyard, MA; Ziwei & Ting Thompson-Eagan of Stoughton, WI. Brother to Mary Kerr, Rockford, Illinois. Born February 4, 1924 in Paxton, Illinois. Graduate of Purdue University School of Electrical Engineering, Served 3 years in the US Navy in WWII. Employed in Research, Product Engineering and General Management with Allis Chalmers and others. Managed manufacturing plants in several locations and managed a heavy machinery company in Mexico City. Served on the national product standards and the international technical committees. Awarded several patents in the field of control systems. Author of technical papers. Consultant in industrial management.  Served 12 years as Trustee on the Village Board of Elm Grove, Wisconsin; 8 years on the Elm Grove Library Board. Long time President of the Elm Grove Terrace Condominium Owners Association.  Contributions can be made to the Elm Grove Library. William enjoyed fishing, photography and the study of Latin American current issues and history.  Cress Funeral & Cremation Services, Madison, WI is assisting the family.
