Heath, William, Sr.

Stoughton- William LaVurne Heath, Sr., age 92, passed away at his home in Stoughton on Thursday, September 11, 2008. He was born in Oklahoma on December 12, 1915, a son of John and Jewel Heath. Bill served his country in the Army Air Corps during WWII and was united in marriage to Alice Weum on July 15, 1944. Bill was a member of the American Legion Post #59 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #328. He is survived by two sons, William (Janet) Heath, Jr. of Warrenville, IL, and Robert Heath of Garland, Texas; one daughter, Delores Heath of Stoughton; three grandsons, and two great grandsons. He was preceded in death by his wife Alice and daughter in law, Cheryl Heath. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 16, 2008 at 11:00am at Lutheran Cemetery South, Hwy A, Stoughton, with the Rev, Steven Hayes presiding. Full military rites will be performed at the cemetery by the Stoughton American Legion Post #59 Honor Guard.
