Stoughton- William "Bill" Hoff, a proud Norwegian American, forged a remarkable 88 years of life in Stoughton, WI and delivered his last salute on March 6th, 2019 as he serenely transitioned to Heaven, and into the arms of his greatest love, "Honey"[Winifred] Hoff. He was encircled by his adoring children and passed peacefully after a four year battle with Alzheimer's.
William served 6+ years in the United States Army where he bravely fought for others freedoms during the Korean War. He returned home, became a Roofer and later created B&R Roofing, ultimately attaining the "American Dream" which he shared with his son[Roger] until he retired at 74.
Billy's unequivocal devotion and intense love for his wife extended over to his family, friends & the Green Bay Packers. He was a passionate and consistent man. A sure bet was Sunday afternoons were reserved for the Packers, and all knew to bring a 6-pack of PBR and ear plugs to join in his enthusiasm. His unfiltered stories, jokes and "unruly" one-liners brought many laughs to his audience inspired fun, heated & sometimes intense conversations at the kitchen table. In addition to his lively sense of humor, Bill was known for his generosity, love of playing horseshoes & patriotism. He loved his Country and was also proud of his Norwegian heritage. His parents were immigrants from Norway and Billy was the youngest of 13 kids. He is survived by his brother, Charles Hoff; children, Diana (Doug) Kroeber, Julie (best friend, Mike Taft) Hoff, Linda Mielke, Vicki (Jeff) Oimeon, Roger (Mary) Asperheim, Patti (Bill) Bosbon; grandchildren, Angie (Phil) Engel, Desirae Goins, Aaron (Char) Asperheim, Jamie (Tony) Stiklestad, Tracie Tooley, Sandi (Dean) Dimiceli, Dawn (Lance) Hamm, Kelly (Seth) Jameson, Gina (Chad) Johnson and Kyle Mielke.
