William ""Bill"" Cornelius Linenfelser, Â age 84, died peacefully at his home on Wednesday, September 15, 2010. Â He was born April 18, 1926 in Adams, Wisconsin, to Frank and Helen Linenfelser. Â Bill graduated from Adams-Friendship High School in 1944. Â He entered the US Army in 1944, where he served in the Phillipenes until he was discharged in 1946. Â He attended St. Norbert College and eventually graduated from University of Wisconsin, Madison in 1950 with a degree in Business Administration. Â Â Bill married Norene Hendrickson on September 2, 1950. Â He worked for Gaarder and Miller Inc. until he retired in 1986. Â Â Bill enjoyed many outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, and gardening. Â He also enjoyed caning chairs, visiting with friends and family, and story telling. Â Bill is survived by his son, William L. (Tammy) Linenfelser of Madison; a brother-in-law, Roger (Natalie) Hendrickson; a sister-in-law, Pat (late Merle) Hendrickson; and many nieces, nephews, and good friends. Â Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Norene; his parents, Frank and Helen; a sister Helen; a brother, John Robert; and brother-in-laws, Norbert Brunner and Merle Hendrickson. Â Â A funeral service will be held at Noon on Saturday, September 18, 2010 at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 3610 Speedway Rd., Madison, with visitation from 10:30 am until the time of service. Â The family would like to give a very special ""Thank You"" to Dr. Jessica Dalby and Wingra Family Medical Clinic, Health Corps Staff, Independent Living staff, HospiceCare staff, and the Jefferson Gracious Retirement Living management, staff, and residents, for all the hard work and dedication in assisting Bill to keep his dignity and independence.
