William Dell McCoy, Bill, age 87, died peacefully with his family at his side Monday, April 26, 2010 at the Don and Marilyn Hospice Center in Fitchburg.  He was born February 15, 1923, in Milwaukee, the son of Dell and Frances (O'Brien) McCoy. Bill was a veteran of WW II having served in the  US Air Force.  He spent his career as a traveling salesman blessed with the ""gift of gab.""  He enjoyed reading, and was a very health conscious man who was ahead of his time. Survivors include five daughters: Rosemary (Jim) Gegare of AuTrain, MI, Laurie McCoy of Iowa City, IA, Erin (Gordy) Bates of Shawano, Ginny (Tim) Byrne of Madison and Maureen McCoy of Combined Locks; two sons: Terry McCoy of Madison and John (Rosemarie) McCoy of Delafield; seventeen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; the mother of his children, Elizabeth Lerwick of Appleton, one sister Patricia Burns of Gladwyne, PA; three nieces and three nephews.  He was preceded in death by one daughter: Kathleen (Patrick Riordan), four sons: Mark, Michael, Dennis (Jane), Timothy, and his parents. A committal service with military honors will be held at 11:00 am Friday, May 21 at CENTRAL WI VETERANS MEMORIAL CEMETERY in King, WI. Cress Funeral & Cremation Service 3325 E.
