William Zitnick

April 1, 1942 — May 5, 2017

William C. "Bill" Zitnick, passed away Friday, May 5, 2017, at home with his wife by his side. He was born April 1, 1942, the son of Ralph and Johanna (Fleckenstein) Zitnick. He had a deep love of family, stock car racing, working on cars and of course the Packers and Badgers. He seldom missed a race or game. Bill was a hard-working man all his life who treated everyone he met with kindness and respect. His faith in God was a huge part of his life, and he is now resting peacefully with his Lord.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years Juanita (Shilts) Zitnick; his three daughters, Kim (Stacy) Horsfall, Lori Zitnick Weekes, and Emily (Matt) Holtan; his grandchildren who meant the world to him, Hayleigh Ackley, Karley and Brayden Holtan; a brother, Michael (Barbara) Zitnick who he enjoyed talking and visiting with often, as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents and many aunts and uncles.

A memorial service will be held at CALVARY BAPTIST CHURCH, 304 Woodward Dr, Sun Prairie, on Saturday, June 17, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Rick W. Bloom officiating. A luncheon will follow the service at the church.

Part of his ashes will be placed next to his parents at Resurrection Cemetery in Madison on May 17th in a private family Mass. The rest of the ashes will be spread at the cabin Taboda, which he loved so much at a later date.

In lieu flowers, memorials can be made to the family or to a charity of your choice in Bill's name.
