Wilma Meland

Wilma Darlene Meland, was called home on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 in Monroe Health Services, Monroe, WI.

She was born August 18, 1927 in Polo, IL, the daughter of William Howard "Happy" and Sadie Marie (Palmer) Dennis. Wilma was a 1945 graduate of Polo High School, Polo, IL. She married Arch Meland on July 17, 1970 in Madison, WI. He predeceased her on July 5, 1995.

Wilma was formerly employed by 7up and Storm Chiropractic, both in Madison, WI.

Wilma had a larger than life personality, who enjoyed dancing and traveling with her husband, Arch.
Survivors include her children, Rozalyn Rowley and Randall Welp; granddaughters, Angela Lydon (Matthew) Strand and Libby (Josh) Rhodes; great grandchildren, Madyson, Hunter, Hudson, Taylor and Tyler; and one great-grandson, Carson. She was predeceased her parents, two brothers Russell and Kenneth, and her son in law, Jack Rowley.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, October 29, 2018 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 5701 Raymond Road, Madison. Family will greet friends after 10 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery.
