Young Frie

Madison, WI- Young Bok Frie, age 42, died on September 10, 2011 at the Don and Marilyn Anderson HospiceCare Center in Fitchburg, WI. She was born on May 13, 1969 in Kwang-ju, South Korea, the daughter of Won Jae Lee and Young Lim Jung. Young graduated from Sang Myeoung Women's High School and attended Suk Myong Women's College, both in Seoul, Korea. On October 19, 1994, she married Erik Frie of LaCrescent, MN, who was with the US military. Together they lived in Korea and in the States in many communities including LaCrosse and Madison, WI. Young worked for Wells Fargo Bank and for the United Service Organization (USO). She enjoyed cooking and fashion design. Young is survived by her husband, Erik of Madison, WI; her mother; brother, Young Hun Lee of South Korea; sister, Young Hee Lee of South Korea; 10 nieces and nephews; and six brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. She was preceded in death by her father in 1988. A gathering of friends and family will be held at 1:30 PM on Saturday, September 17, 2011 at the Cress Funeral Home, 5801 Highway 51, McFarland, WI, with a Celebration of Young's Life starting at 3:00 PM.
